This children home was the first Snehalaya home establishes on January 1, 2001. It is meant for boys in the age group of 13-16 years. It is located in Dhirenpara near the Maternity and Child Health Centre.
It has a seat capacity of 45.
The inmates have access to a large playground which is in the front part of the house with a basketball court. 
The home has a professional counselor who counsels the children. Computer classes, tutorials are available in the home. All the inmates attend government schools and few are staying in hostels as well.

There are three SSA centres in Snehalaya, two centres are in Snehalaya’s Children Home for Boys Dhirenpara, and the other one is in Snehalaya Centre for Child Rights -Paltan Bazar-Guwahati.

Snehalaya undertakes community service. Contributing to the welfare of the community or society is one of its activities. Through its Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Centres, Snehalaya connects with the communities. These centres serve as pre-formal schools. The school dropout or the children who have never been to school are taught in the SSA centres for the initial training in formal education in Non-Residential School Training Centre (NRSTC) under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Mission. The age limit is 7 years – 14 years. The syllabuses of classes II, III and IV of Assamese Government School are taught to the students. They have to be taught for a maximum period of two years. Within this time period, they have to be admitted to formal schools.
